My main reason for saying DX 8.1 or below is better is due to reading some posts here and in other M&M Taverns about game running problems with DX9.

Also has anyone had any experience with a Geforece 4 t1 vewrses an ati radeon9600xt? I don't have any personal experience, but any video card manufacturer usually has install instructions with a readme file with they drivers.

On a win98se machine wich is consiideder better for them mm's 8.1 or 9.0b? I'm not a Windows expert, but I'm not certain if DX 9 is intended for Win. 98. By that I mean that some of the DX 9 features may not be used by the OS.

Sorry about alll the questions I have been asking. Don't worry about all the questions...I think it's more important to ask questions and learn from answers. Many here besides me are willing to provide a friendly answer.
