It is posible this has been answered, I searched and couldn't find help for my problem-- so my apologies if you've dealt with this before. A huge fan of M&M, I finally broke down & got MM IX even with all the negative comments. I can't get the game to run... clicking on the icon, or the .exe file, gets me a black flicker screen and then an unexplained return to the desktop. I tried the fixes in the REadME file, but I have Windows 2000 and the file only addresses 95, 98 and XP. I did my best with their suggestions, however and none of it worked. I have DirectX8.1, NVidia Riva TNT2 (whatever that means)... I do notice on the Direct X Diagnostic Tool tab that for the NVidia info it says Direct 3D accelaration is not available. Is that my problem? I am NOT good at technical computer stuff; I just want to play the game. Thanks very much in advance for your help. Sorry if redundant.
