It's been a long time, but something occured to me just now when reading this thread... The 6-8 world was most definatly NOT Varn. If you refer to the manual in Heroes 1 (something I had to read for bugs...), There's a little story about how Lord Ironfist travelled through a portal to a new world (the heroes world, and also the MM6-8 world). I don't remember if it had any names, but it might be worth it to check. I don't have a copy anymore, but I'm sure someone does. T
