more specifically, the lousy mouse control and all. i know that's a problem with older games, esp when you play on XP, as most of 'em need DOS to operate and XP is a DOS-free zone. have you tried running the game in compatibility mode? ..go to the shortcut to your game on your desktop ..r/click it and choose "properties" ..see a tab for "compatibility" ..choose it ..find the first option and check the box ..then choose win95 ..click "apply" and "close" use that shortcut to try the game again. if it doesn't help, you can repeat the sequence but de-select the compatibility mode. or be brave and try another OS. if that doesn't help, you may want to try mo-slo. (it slows modern pcs down. believe it or not, but the reason everything is so weird, speedwise, in your game is because it was designed for old, much slower processors.) DOSBox is also an alternative. i have never used it, but friends who play old games all the time swear by it. you may haveta google for it. unless someone here has a link. good luck. V***V |
