Original Message:   Check out the status of your DirectX components, especially DirectDraw and Direct3D....
Run your DirectX diagnostics program, which is usually found at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\DXDIAG.EXE. Go to the Display tab and test DirectDraw and Direct3D.

If either one tests faulty, click the associated button to Disable that feature. The button should change to read 'Enable'. If not, clicking it again should get it to change. Now click it again so that the feature is enabled and the button reads 'Disable'. Test the feature again.

If it still fails then you'll need to check out your video drivers. Hope this helps.
