Weird but the "saves" catalogue is empty. the game proceeds cpompletely normal - I save, exit the game, load, play on etc etc - but saves are just not there when I open the saves catalogue. and now I have to take the notebook with me instead of simply copying the saved games to a pendrive

Any ideas on what might have happened?

the whole mm8 catalog had read only status so I un-clicked it and applied it to all sub catalogues and sub folders and it didnt do the trick.

the whole mm7 folder has read only status and there is no problem with the saves. and only a few days ago i finished the game.

so the problem must be something else.

    tough luck

It worked for me, and I'm afraid I can't think of anything else it might be. Let's see if Bones can help.

Bones! Have you any ideas on what might be causing this?

I'm guessing that your OS is trying to be helpful by imposing Microsoft's organization scheme on you. The saves might be in a 'My Games\MM8' folder in your documents, for example. By any chance are you playing a version issued by Ubisoft?
