Installation problem

    I try to install Might and Magic VIII on my XP, but I am having serious troubles and I spent already about 5 hours searching and googling internet for a solution. But no luck.

    The problem si, that whenever I try to start installation process from install CD, a progress window popps up showing a progress - it goes up to 99%, then it crashes, showing a strange error window with no text.

    And that's it. Something is wrong, the game installs fine on another computers.

    I might even make a video for you to see clearly what I mean.

    Any help very welcomed and appreciated.

    ... is that your problem is related to your modern hardware. Try installing the game in Safe Mode and let us know if that changes anything. Also, tell us about your CPU and graphics system. Are you installing on a FAT32 or NTFS partition? (I recommend FAT32 for M&M.)

    I am trying to run it on white MacBook, that model with 9400M GeForce, 2Ghz x 2 cores. Of course on windows xp system. Hmm, on afternoon when I got home will bring you at least screenshot for you to see how's the error winodw with no text looks like.

    Might and Magic VII installed and playing without problems. So I can firmly confirm that the only problem is Might and Magic VIII.
