| I can't find mm8.icd, but I'm getting the same symptoms. Screen goes to 800x600, CD drive stops spinning, back to desktop. I'm running WinXP & DX9 with 512MB of RAM and an nVidia GeForce4 MX 440-SE. I have tried every compatibility setting, every hardware acceleration level, every combination available under the Configuration Settings tool, and the same thing happens every time. The funny thing is that I have MM7 installed along side MM8, and MM7 goes just fine. |
