I'm fairly certain that the game distinguishes between empty Lich Jars and full ones (even though IIRC they look the same), and that you need to equip the party with empty ones to get a character promoted to Lich. If you've promoted Devlin, you might well be carrying a set of full ones around, and I don't think those will do. I'm not sure where you would get a second set of empty ones, though. |
