This is way after the original post date, but I wanted to thank you! I just installed MM8 and Greyface's patch, but it was still ignoring the escape button, plus I had a huge bright spot in the middle of the screen. I got the Bink upgrade as you suggested, and it worked perfectly! I'm now playing with no problems. So much appreciate this site and the many very knowledgable posters. It's saved me more than just this one time. BTW, I'm running Win7, 32 bit.
