Ozone is a gas, and would have to be present in perceptibly higher quantities on the clothes than in the surrounding environment for you to pick out the smell. I guess it's possible for the sunlight and the oxygen in the air to act on something in the fabric to generate an ozone precursor which then slowly releases the gas, but off-hand, I cannot think what it would be. Ozone is very reactive. Incidentally, ozone is a powerful oxidant, and it smells very like chlorine bleach.
