The thing is, my thinking of an MM game that could be played with friends, would not be a typical online rpg. I am not fond of those myself. This would be the exact same game we played, but friends could be characters in your party and perhaps some other quests that could involve another party. You could just play it alone as a one player rpg and it would be like playing MM6, 7 or 8. A few other incorporated ideas perhaps. Just an idea.
