Upgrading to Windows 10. Any pitfalls to watch for?

So my 8.5 year-old Windows 7 machine is dying a slow death. I have a new computer here with Windows 10. Since the old machine is still functioning, I'm doing a slow and organized data transfer.

I installed MM7 & MM8 on the new computer last night, and I have Grayscale's patch running. I couldn't find the MM7 & MM8che programs online, but I was literally able to copy/paste the programs to an SD card and then transfer them over. I had to play around with compatibility mode though.

So, any other pitfalls to watch for as I begin exploring these games in a Windows 10 environment?

Depends on your game versions

GOG downloads are immediately compatible. If you're installing from the old CDs, it's pot luck - compatibility mode is pretty much the only lever

I was having issues with the graphics glitching out trying to run in Windows 10, so I loaded Windows 7 in a virtual machine and downgraded the color depth in there. Once the game and patch were installed, it runs perfectly.
