Elixir for dwarf statues!

    Believe I received the required elixir from Hothfarr to use on the Dwarves in cavern in Bracada Desert. Getting past all these lousy oozes is a pain-in-the-butt. A bigger pain-in-the-butt is realizing that the elixir is no longer in your inventory. Apparently, I have somehow lost this item, perhaps in attempting to switch it to another members inventory. So, am I totally screwed here or does someone have a marvelous trick I might try (short of starting over I hope)!!! THANX!!!!

    Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, it apparently did not work for me. I failed to mention that I am attempting this game with both the Grayface and Ludmeister(?) patches installed. Hopefully there is some sort of editor out there that will allow me to edit my inventory and get an elixir into it. Really hate to have to back up to the original island as I do not have a save game that is going to help me otherwise. THANX!!!

    Haven't tried Ludmeister's patch, but I have used Grayface's. Have you tried talking to the judge? Most of the time he'll tell you to be more careful with your things, but he did give me the proper golem head, so maybe it'll work with the elixir?

    Also, if you check in the archives, there are several discussions on editors, where to get them, etc.

Fortunately as I did not want to start over!!!! Problem solved. I prefer not to use editors and this was the first time. I tried your suggestion after obtaining the 'elixir' by taking it out of my inventory, dropping it outside, then trying "I LOST IT". He claims "YOU NEVER HAD IT". So, perhaps there is another file that would need editing??? Maybe I should have tried to drop it and do a temporary save, exit the game, and then reload the game via a save prior to the drop. Never mind, it gets too convoluted for my 76 year old brain. Possibilities for diddling with data can get tricky. But interesting to try!!! THANX!!!!
