Sword Master

Since Maestro's Mod simply adds a few things to the completed Rev4 mod, the Sword Master Trainer is in the same place - on Emerald Island.

Do you know how to export map files (.odm, .ddm, .blv and .dlv) to .3ds files?

Map Files

    BDJ writes:

Don't know what a .3ds file is. Sorry.

I do know how to extract the map files, however. Go to the following link and enter the directory named "Modding Guides for Might and Magic". Download the three Terrain Tutorials zip files. That might help.

Another despatch option?

Thank you for your reply BDJ.
I don't like downloading on the internet though.
Would you send it via email to my email adress (temporarily) mest at reans dot dk?

Also. I know how to extract the map files from the .lod archive (already done this)
I´m looking for a method to get them exported into a different common 3d file format (Microsoft 3d Image = .X files f.ex or 3DS Max .3ds files).

Have been looking into many options also like 3d ripper programs and so on, which spould grab the openGL or DirectX app window and out of the displayed content make a content file capable of exporting that content from the .odm, .ddm. blv and .dlv files to it's won native file format one.

Yes, and I'm of +e juicy to belisten, but the point is no one cares to help me answer my questions (the present stalker issue all over again 'eh).

Would you share a word over an email about what the suggestion you have, is about? (mest at reans dot dk)

Besides. I've read about your modding and that you have contributed with modded map content and apparently so know how to outriddle the encoding around the map files witin game.lod in might and magic etc. etc.

I fancy it really is blitz content encoded for the so called horizon engine BUT NEVERTHELESS IT'S EVER SO UNIMPORTANT WITH THAT.

Just looking for a method to edit the map files replacing walls and such stuff and put it back eventually.

MiniMap .BMP conversion
08/07/2012, 07:28:40

    BDJ writes:

Sorry, but if you want these files, you'll have to download them from the site specified. That's the only way to get these tutorials.

All game maps in MM6-MM8 are stored as simple text files and 'painted' from these files based upon tileset definition, height parameters, and tile-type entries. These text entries may be converted into a .BMP file (MM file-type .TGA.BMP), but it takes custom coding to do so. A simplified converter program is included in the tutorial.

The mentioned linked site doesn't support browsers however updated like firefox or explorer...'

The download takes unreasonable requirements and I don't know how to get it down.

    How about a rapidshare link?
