Cats, Dogs and Chickens?

    A pity they weren't put into the game. Same for the Manticores...

    On a related note, it seems Walls of Mist is the ONLY place Genies appear.

Yesit was fun looking at some of the developers' ideas....

    I remember seeing a screenshot of an early rendering of MM7 -- something the developers release to show fans how awesome the game will look. I think I recall seeing chickens in the picture. I can't find the image now, of course.

    The problem back then was that computing power limited the number of sprites that could be displayed at one time. JVC and the developers always wanted to get as many monsters onscreen as possible, so the livestock had to go. They did finally get cats into MM9 -- but they don't look that convincing.

    Yes; if the dog and cat get too close together in MM9, the dog will chase the cat. And, if you listen carefully under the omnipresent music, you can also hear the dog barking as he chases after the cat! Though, if they do get separated, then they will just randomly wander around.
