My solo sorc got all the points from the joint pool and all subtracted from remaining 3 toons. Unfortunately the 3 of them drowned in a puddle near the temple on emerald island evil grin Dragonflies handled mr malwic and i got my wand. a few reloads and i got a 2nd one from dragon cavern. in anout 15 minutes the dragon went down but i lost one wand in the heat of the battle. Tough luck but well wort it. now looting the dragon for scholar cap and this reluc staff of darkness. of course won the challenge for the 3 points and hired a scolar npc.
