In MM6, you can get multiples of any placed artifact (or "specialty item" etc.) in the game, i.e. Mordred, Excalibur, Guinevere, Igraine, & Morgan. There's one in their "placed" location, and another by random chance from certain chests or high-level monsters' cadavers. I'm less certain about MM7 because I don't play it much, but you can get multiples of at least one of them for sure. I definitely remember having a game with at least two sets of Hermes sandals. Again, I'm less certain about MM8, but you certainly get multiple copies of the Noblebone Bow, and copies of the Mace of the Sun keep turning up fairly often.
