The amulet is given to me without ever having it in the first place. Apparently the whole thing is a bug, according to Maestro. I restarted the game, and this time found Hume. I went to the guy with the amulet, got it, and took it back to Bracada - just to find Hume had diappeared. I restarted again, Hume was there again. This time I did NOT talk to him prior to getting the amulet. I took that to him, finished the second quest, done. Please note that I have been using the latest version that Maestro has up on his website, so apparently it's a bit buggy.
