Yes, you can win the 5 Knight-level Arena battles any time. Even before you start the quest. In fact, it is much easier to do this when your level is low as you fight weak monsters. Note that it MUST be Knight-level victories. You can't use the highest level victory for the promotion. Also, you can only go to the Arena on Sundays. You should plan your travels accordingly to go there every week, to avoid wasting time/missing the Sunday.
