I am always exploiting the well in a speedgame. I am playing the whole game at level 1 so that the well is the only way of getting my skills to an acceptable level for the second part of the game. Because it is a speedgame, the time spent at the well is limited  In a normal game, I am not using the well, it is not needed. BTW, the well is not bottomless |
