Go to Bracada Desert immediately. Enter the school of sorcery and pay 5000 ( I think ) to Eric Swarrel for access to the library. Afterwards, each time you click on a bookshelf there is a chance you get one of the following:

light spell scroll dark spell scroll loyds beacon spell scroll ( bing! ) incinerate spell scroll starburst spell scroll distortion spell scroll nothing

Each time you click on a bookshelf there is a chance you will run out of scrolls, so eventually you run out ( not sure if it's totally random or there is a counter.

Basically loyds beacon is not a very rare pick. I would say 1 / 20th of the time or close. So just click / reload till you get like 6+ and then you plant them in places you can't teleport to.

In my current game I got 8 scrolls and the bookshelf is still not empty.
