I would concentrate on doing the main quests first till you get to Celeste and The Pit, and also the 1st promotion quests. You want to get access to your second promotions as well as light or dark magic asap. Since I have no idea what you have done in the game I'll suggest the following. Harmondale clear everything.
Erathia clear everything other than the castle.
Tatalia clear overworld, Wromxath cave, and Evernmorn map island cave. You can do the 2 other dungeons but they might be hard for a first play through at your level.
Avlee do the hunter Promotion, and the Pipes Quest in the Faerie cave.
Barrow Downs clear everything. The traps are all pretty high level. I think you need Master level 8 Disarm if I remember right.
Deyja clear the overworld.
Tuleran Forest do everything other than Clanker's Lab.
Evermorn Island clear everything assuming you have access to it.
