I have no experience with Vista -- and I intend to keep things that way. MSS32.DLL is part of the Miles Sound System, which ceased being developed around 2004. It doesn't know how to interact with Vista.

You might have some success running the game in compatibility mode, but I expect that you've already been doing that. Do you get the same error messages running in and out of compatibility mode?
