It may be that in the MM7 mod, it is the same and instead of overwriting the old files with the new ones, you must actually delete the old ones and replace them with the new ones. Again, I could be wrong, but if I am not the that could be the answer.

If you overwrite the old files with the new ones, alot of the old stuff would have remained in the game (I think). I would have to go over it again and try it out, but that could be one explanation.
