Original Message:   ICD file error on Windows XP for MM7 and MM8
Greetings.

I have been unable to run MM7 and MM8 on a Windows XP OS with Service Pack 3 due to an apparent problem with the icd file. Every time I run either program, it is unable to start and I get the error message below.

Error Signature AppName: mm8.icd AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: mm8.icd ModVer: 1.0.0.1 Offset: 000ac97d

Both MM7 and MM8 worked fine on my older computer with Windows 98 (which I no longer have). I have tried downloading the Windows Compatibility Tookit program, setting the compatibility for the mm7.exe and mm8.exe files to Windows 98 and 95, and using the configuration setup to change the video from hardware accelerated to software 3D, but nothing has solved the problem.

Anyone familiar with the icd problem and how to resolve this?
