Partially correct. There is a case of Lich Jars in Castle Gloaming (in the Pit) in MM7, but the Mad Necro's Lab is indeed in MM8.

The ones in the library of the Warlok's area in Thunderfist Mountain are, IMO, the easiest to obtain, howeber.
