You need to finish the castle before you can get to Evermorn or back to the Emerald Isle. This requires getting to the 2nd floor(check all the torches,there's something strange about one of them). Then when you save the Dwarves you'll be able to get back to the Isle for your Priest promotion and the ships will start going to Evermorn. And the ring that used to be on the Sylph was moved to a spot under the shrine where the statue goes.
