I NEVER accept Malwick's quest (I always let the dragonflies kill kim for his wand) so it couldn't have been the Mercenatry Guild's invasion that caused this. I am quite sure it was a respawn and it happened after two years from firsr entry. Since BDJ changed most of the monsters to thieves and put some bats in the uppper levels, it is entirely possible he eliminated the respawn. I never asked him about that. Maybe some others have a comment or two about this.
