Original Message:   Cannot re-install M&M 6 or 7!
I need some help re-installing Might and Magic VII and VI on my puter, which is running Windows XP Home Version 2002 sp2. I've installed both several times before and removed them to free up hd space (it's only 40gb) but this last time I cannot install them at all let alone play them. When I click on the install button--either through the launcher program or the actual Setup.exe--nothing happens although when I open Windows Task Manager there is a Setup.exe running. No Error messages appear at any point. I've tried running the Setup.exe in all four varieties of OS under the compatibility tab and nothing works. And it is not Might and Magic related only because I tried to re-install Wizardry 8 this week, which has worked on my laptop before, and the same thing happens: nothing happens but when I check the Task Manager it shows a Setup.exe running but no screen appears. I have never had this type of problem. I've even tried running the Setup.exe via the Run prompt but that only does the same thing, nothing happens on screen but there's a Setup.exe in the Task Manager. I've also tried installing in Safe Mode but that does the same thing. I have tried installing Might and Magic VII Millennium Edition (the one that has M&M 4-7 on it) and also the Sold Out Software version, both start the launcher but the install option only causes the launcher to quit and the Setup.exe is running in Task Manager but nowhere else. These are both legitimate purchased copies. I've also done a full scan with Kaspersky to check for virus and all that's cleared too.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
