Hmm, the only thing I can think of then is since your sound card is older, it is like you said, more compatible. And it doesn't have the loud music. Now I did install the patches/mods in a funky order. Mok's patch, v1.1 (official) and then BDJ. I installed Mok's patch and then realized I forgot to install the offcial one. Maybe that did it. I think I am going to uninstall and install it again and see what happens.
