Original Message:   I rely upon facts.
1/ Bones' Combat Guide tells us that misses and low-damage blows are the result of a sequence of dice-throwing and calculations and repeated use of a formula which uses perc's and monster's AC, Attck Chance, Stated Damage, Speed and what else. 2/ If you strike an AC+Speed high monster, high chances are that the Hit Yes result turns out not in the first but in the second or third or fourth cycle of the calculation, and that is why you sometimes get less and lesser fraction of the PercScreen-Stated Damage, or even 1, or 0 hits. 3/ Developed Rangers hit their target more frequently than anybody else and miss less frequently.

4/ The ultimate idea is that death-bringing monsters do their special effects at the same time with a successful blow. Only.

5/ After all. It was my personal opinion and observation. Let us do a test. What is an optimum test pattern? Say, two parties - one with 2 knights another with two Rangers? (I pondered about mixed K+R party, but those will interfere with each other, that is, help and spoil the test. Rangers will be 20 Level GM in Axe and whatever level needed in Armsmaster (15 Expert), Speed 50-75, + Haste will get them 3 blows per round. Knights will be, say Master 7 Swords and Armsmaster 20 (total skill value) same Speed + Haste ( Or maybe take a standard pair Thif + Knight?)
