I am always "doing the quest" once the Elven War begins. Travel from Harmondale. Notes about the quest:
(1) You must select the right arena level. You need 5 wins at KNIGHT level, wins at Lord level (the highest level, higher than Knight) DO NOT COUNT.
(2) Each travel to Arena is 8 days. That's wrong because the coach goes to Arena only on Sunday. You can shorten the round trip to Arena to 6 days by leaving Arena through the "escape" door. Therefore, win, get acknowledgement for your winning, return to Arena, and leave through the escape door.
(3) Once it comes to the quest, get the quest, leave the house of the questgiver, return, and the quest is done.
