I fixed it If anyone else has this problem, this is what I did. Install the games in win98/me compatability mode, then change your desktop colours to 16bit. Then run the game in win98/me compatability mode with a tick in,'Disabled visual themes' and a tick in 'Turn off advanced text services'. That worked for me in win XP SP2 HTH paulos66
