I had some problems to install as well. About official patch. If you have official game , late edition, (for example I have platinum edition) this patch shold be already included. If so, at first install the game, after that make it compatible with W98 (Comment from Vilx) and in addition to install MOK patch. Should be O'K. I have WXP 2. service pack and could play without problems.
