I stand in front of the front door to Stone City and then run up to to the edge of the cliff there and run back. Usually, every time I do that, 5 or 10 of them would climb the hill and can be picked off one or two at a time (I should add that I had some good bows - during the third courier quest to Avlee, I invested in three good ones - one more Devilbone and 2 composites - expensive, but worth it.

If my healer runs out of mana or I take too much damage, I just duck back into Stone City, run to the temple and get healed and keep repeating this process until, eventually, they all come up the hill (and die) and Scroll #6 becomes unguarded.
