Except for the melee stuff at higher levels, I stick with the spells, fireball is really nice. In the few corridors when you have to get close to the titans, don't forget paralyze, spell or wands. It also helps to turn the corners in the right order, most titans can be dealt with at a long distance if you are careful about turning corners. For the non-purists: try going in with blasters at a distance. And I have a very nice memory of a titan who stumbled into a couple of berserk dragons.
