I almost always complete the courier quests at level 1 (all 4 of them)before I see the Dwarf King, but after clearing Castle Harmondale and the Goblin Srmy. Lots of running around in quest 4, but it can be done without a problem .. even taking the time to hit Gepetto's Thermos for the Repair skill and picking up the +35 AC Paladin's Boots. I usually don't train until I have compolete 5 Knight victories in the Arena and by that time I can train 12-14 levels.
