It's one of the major reasons I always take an archer with me in MM7, unless I'm running a thief. I've had some jolly good arguments with others who do not rate archers and say that you can use Telekinesis to open traps from a safe distance, to which my reply is that that's OK for chests outside, but not inside. I like magic-heavy parties, so my favourite party for the Light Path is archer, paladin, cleric & sorcerer, and for the Dark Path, archer, cleric & 2 sorcerers.
