There is definitely no other way to boost perception other than hiring npc's - I haven't used them myself as I'm always travelling with an archer but on the other hand he has a rotten disarm skill which needs a lot of boosting. But I can think of four items at least that boosts special skills - they are of course hard to come by as they're artifacts/relics. There is a staff that boosts meditation +15, a cap that boosts learning +15, a shield that boosts shield +5 and a bow that boosts bow +5. |
