but here is a delimma for discussion: I recently purchased (thru e-bay) what I (and my supplier) believed to be an original of a very new game: C&CIII: Tiberium Wars. I paid the new game price, nearly 60 USD. Upon receipt of the disk (it was on a DVD), I proceeded to install it. I was already very suspicious since no CD key was required and EA games has ALWAYS required a CD key in the past. The installation instructions and the manual were in RUSSIAN, but with an English installation option! When I finally got the thing installed, I found it did not require a disk in the drive to play it. Obviously, it is a WAREZ copy. I complained to my suppier and he tried to check with the vendor he bought it from, but apparently (and, I guess, with good reason) this supplier is no longer advertising on e-bay and does not answer e-mail. My supplier offered me a refund, but since he bought it in good faith and I bought it from him in good faith, I put it down to "lessons learned the hard way". Now to my delimma. Since I paid the new game price for this and it does run OK, should I: 1. Leave it as installed and continue to play it? 2. Unistall it and throw the install disk away? What is the opinion of the community? |
