| How hard is it to steal something from an NPC? I thought it would be nice to get the Lieutenant's Sword (in the Mercenary Guild)by theft rather than combat, but my Spy (GM Steal, plus a +17 amulet) was unable to do it even when the guy was paralyzed. We must have tried twenty times, but all that came up was "Karin has been caught stealing". I finally had to kill the poor guy. (I do recall stealing Lady Carmine's dagger once, but I guess I won't be getting Tolberti's cube that way. *Sigh*) |
