You may or may not want to do this. See the post in the link below to compare the two options. If you know how to edit your registry, you can change the "Use D3D" key from "1" (enabled) to "0" (disabled). In my computer at least, the entries for the game are located in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/New World Computing/Might and Magic VII/1.0 BV
