I haven't played a dark game for years, but if I recall the baby dragon either A) casts fly once per day, or B) refreshes your MP once per day. But I could be wrong. What I remember was that I liked having the additional NPC in the upper right, but if the baby dragon had any skills I (personally) did not find them useful enough to employ more than once or twice, thus my forgetting what the skill was.
