1) it depends on what number of skill points you want to spend. The most common option is to wield Spear (7M) + Sword (7M) and develop well past Arsmaster Granmaster Level 10. And you can switch between Spear, Spear+Sword, Sword+Sword options depending on better weapon/enchanments/effects. Though physically Spear G10 is better than other options in terms of damage per minute.
