Any MM7 character can defeat almost all monsters using weapons and items (without LB, TP, wands, Expert/Master scrolls, and offensive magic at all). And going solo is a beautiful way to learn a bit more about MM (and if it is masochism what do you call people who play any class with Armageddon, Schrapnel spells and Paralize wands, or people who jump between games never stopping to go deep into a story? Imbeciles?) For example, I learnt that a solo Druid can happily do without disarming skill. She is half though the story and never killed by a chest. Without telekinesis.
