Part of the reason I haven't been as helpful as I'd like to be in TELP is that I've forgotten so much of the detail of the MM's. I can no longer play any of the games (including any HoMM prior to MM4) not because I have XP, but because my current hardware (state-of-the-art -- bleahh!) won't recognize the CD's. It's kind of hard to install a patch when your 'puter won't even install the game! Furthermore, if I play any games with less than absolute top resolution, I get nasty messages telling me that for optimum performance, I need to reset the res. Ha! Most games prior to about 2005 won't even go that high! *heaves a sigh, shuffles off.* Oh, well. I still have the Prima guides for MM6 and MM7, and I made maps for 6 through 9. So if your questions can be answered by these resources, I'll gladly put in my two cents' worth.
