try reloading your saved game and killing Tolberti again. Frankly, I never experienced such a problem and have no idea what its cause might be. The only reason I can imagine for that would be stealing the Cube from Tolberti before, using the stealing skill. But I suppose if you did that you would know If nothing else helps, then yeah, probably giving yourself the Cube via an editor is the only option. Try MM7CHE for that.
