Right, but do not forget that any armor raises your AC, the more AC, the less is damage from enemies blows and the less is damage from traps on chests.

So, even Leather Expert is good. And when you deal with a hazardous chest put one the slowest but the strongest armor possible.

LOL. You may even take off armor when giving blows and put on again when it's monsters' turn to hit.
