And I agree with you. If you get hit by a bug, editors are often the only way to counteract it. There was the Lich Jar bug in MM7, and the Gharik's Lab key bug in MM6. But I'd never hit a bug in MM8 until this present game, when nobody would teach Devlin Arcanus the Alchemy skill.
